The Guided Walking History Tour of Traverse City was established in 2016 as a casual walk through the historic neighborhoods and waterfront of Traverse City. 

So please join us for our tenth season of historic walking tours of Traverse City.

We begin and end our walking tours at the Perry Hannah Plaza on the northwest corner of Sixth and Union Streets, two blocks south of downtown.

Our Guides

Steve Morse began conducting history tours in 2015 when he volunteered to be a docent for the Traverse City History Center’s Magical History Tour bus.  When that program was discontinued, Steve filled the void by creating the Guided Walking History Tour of Traverse City.  He is also a regional tour guide for many of the tour buses that visit Northwestern Michigan every summer.

Debbie Douglas is a retired Special Events Coordinator at the City Opera House.  This will be her seventh season as a guide.
