Guided Walking History Tours Of Traverse City
Our Eighth Season

Our Eighth Season
The Guided Walking History Tour of Traverse City was established in 2016 as a casual walk through the historic neighborhoods and waterfront of Traverse City. At the time we had just one tour per week.  Through the years we have continually grown, increasing our tours to meet a growing popularity. Through trial and error over the years, we have found our guests prefer weekday mornings, so this is our third year of offering tours on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays. So please join us – we begin and end our walking tours at the Perry Hannah Plaza on the northwest corner of Sixth and Union Streets, two blocks south of downtown.

Our Guides

Our guides Steve & Debbie

Steve Morse began conducting history tours in 2014 when he volunteered to be a docent for the Traverse City History Center’s Magical History Tour bus.  When that program was discontinued, Steve filled the void by creating the Guided Walking History Tour of Traverse City.  He is also a regional tour guide for many of the tour buses that visit Northwestern Michigan every summer.

Debbie Douglas is the Special Events Coordinator at the City Opera House.  This will be her forth season as a guide.
